Update
We went to the mall the other day and after being there for awhile the boys and I went to the restroom. It felt great to walk past the changing table and into the stall. It’s so nice to have both Jimmy and Peter potty trained! It was a very poignant moment, after having babies for what felt like forever, to realize how big my kids are.
My kids have been playing with play-doh a lot lately. It’s cute, they call it squish-squish or squishy. When they ask if they can play with their squish-squish they do squishing motions with their hands. It cracks me up.
For a few weeks the kids kept waking up really early, around 5:30 or 6:00. It was driving me nuts. They were also really cranky because they really weren’t getting enough sleep. I finally figured out that the sun was waking them up. So I taped cardboard to the top half of their windows and doubled up their curtains. The next day they slept until 7:00, then 8:00, then 9:00. I was in heaven. They also started behaving better because they were getting enough sleep. It also became easier for me to deal with them because I was getting more sleep too. Hallelujah!
The kids wanted to help me wash clothes the other day. I thought it was interesting what they imitate. Peter agitates and moves the clothes around but Jimmy rinses and rings the clothes out. (We wash clothes by hand.) It was cute to watch them because they were so serious about it.
When there’s big words that the kids are trying to say I’ll help them by breaking it down for them, pray-ing-man-tis etc. Lately Jimmy has decided to start help me say words. But sometimes he’s totally off. They other day he said, “say dah, doo, turtle! See?” It was hard not to laugh out loud.
Over the last few weeks my hormones have been crazy. My endometriosis has been giving me trouble so I decided to do progesterone this month to help it. But the progesterone messed up my thyroid. I was so tired all the time and I had craving for everything in site. It’s been frustrating. I would have stopped after a few days but you have to finish out the month or it messes things up worse. Hopefully it balances back out quickly.
One of the days we went to the mall the kids wanted see the Christmas tree. I set them up next to it so I could take a picture and Peter says, SNOW! and puts some of it in his mouth. It was funny to watch him try and spit it back out.
