James got a calling in church today.  They asked him to be a counselor in the Elder’s Quorum Presidency.

The boys have been play sword fighting for a long time.  They’ve just always used sticks and other random toys.  When I saw these foam swords at the store yesterday I had to get them.  The boys have played with them non-stop.

We’ve been working with the dog more lately.  She’s big enough that when she jumps on the boys she can knock them down or scratch their faces.  So we’ve been taking her to the park with us.  Trying to teach her to sit and no jumping etc.  She’s slowly getting better.

The boys messed with my computer today so they weren’t allowed to watch any videos.  But they were a little restless so I decided to pull out their blankets and wash them.  The boys really got into it.

Today was a perfect day.  I took the boys and the dog to the park.  It was nice and sunny, but not too hot.  It felt really nice to have the sun on my skin.  I actually rolled up my pants and shirt sleeves to get more sun.  The boys ran around with the dog [...]

This last week we’ve been hangin’ around the house.  There was a repair man that looked at our fridge and said we needed a new compressor.  He was supposed to come back “tomorrow” to finish fixing it.  So we didn’t want to leave the house in case he came back.  He never did.  But our [...]

This morning Jimmy comes up to me and says, “my tummin is hurting…I need a strawberry candy to make it better.”
After I gave him a cup of milk and a strawberry candy he says to me, “Oh thank you mama, my tummin is muy better.”

When I was getting the kids ready for bed Jimmy put his pajama pants on his head and says, “there’s snow ‘lakes…it’s Christmas!”  For the next hour he went on and on about snow and Christmas.  It was so cute.  (He watched a Mickey Christmas Special earlier today.)

Peter is so close to being potty trained.  He has pee down pat, and he does okay with poo.  He still likes to hide behind the couch or something like that when he poops…but we’re getting closer.
Peter is also losing his baby fat.  He looks like such a little kid…it’s cute.
