Frustrating Week

As I was sitting down to write this email, thinking of this last week, I suddenly felt a little more tired and thought “man it was a busy week”. Most of the busy-ness is from Jimmy and Peter. In the last few weeks it feels like they have multiplied. Now that Peter [...]

My Compassionte Little Jimmy

Jimmy can be so sweet sometimes. A few days ago we were watching the Ugly Duckling and there was a part where the duck started crying and Jimmy says “oh, come ‘ere, come ‘ere” while waving the duck over with his hands.
Tonight when I was putting him to bed and I’d sung a few [...]

Update/Sámara Beach

Last week we went to Sámara Beach for three days. We took our gringo neighbors with us. It was fun. Dinners were nice because we would leave the kids at the hotel with Hannah and have a nice quiet dinner.
The boys had a lot of fun playing in the sand and in the ocean. Up [...]

Update

We’ve been pretty busy this week. There was a baptism yesterday and we had a bunch of stuff to do during the week to prepare for it. James confirmed him today, in spanish too.
I feel like I have a bunch of new clothes. I finally pulled out my sewing machine and fixed [...]

Peter is 21 Months Old

Of course Jimmy needed a picture too.  It’s actually how I got him dressed for church this morning.  He would not take his PJs off and when he said “my turn” I told him he couldn’t have a turn unless we changed his clothes.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

Lately Jimmy has decided we’re all animals.  Yesterday when I got him out of bed he says, “Hi rhinoceros!  Where’s Tiger?”  Whenever Jimmy wanted me he would yet for rhinoceros, and Daddy was always Tiger.  Peter was the bear and he was the lion.  It was pretty entertaining.

Update

James had his dental surgery on Tuesday and everything went really well. He was worried that he wouldn’t want to get his other tooth done because he thought it was going to hurt too bad. Thankfully he didn’t even remember much of the procedure. He ate mushy food for a few days [...]

Growin' Like Weeds

These two little boys are growing like weeds! In the last 6 weeks they’ve both grown 3/4inch!
With this last growth spurt Peter turned into a monkey. He climbs on the table all the time and there are multiple rooms that have to stay locked all the time, we had to lock the cupboards [...]

Jimmy is Three Years Old!

Jimmy is a photographer’s dream.  He is so much fun to take pictures of!  Most of those poses were just Jimmy being cute.  I’m sure it helps that I take his pictures ALL the time, but who knows.

Update/Jimmy's Birthday Party

We got the new branch president today and James is still the secretary. He’s very happy about that. On Tuesday James has some dental surgery. He’s getting an implant in his jaw. The root of a front tooth is cracked and no longer good anymore.
Jimmy will be three years old on [...]

Celery Wars

This morning I had some celery and I set what little was left on the counter.  A few minutes later James calls out “did you know the boys are having celery wars in here?”
So I came into the room upset that they had taken my celery, “Jimmy! Peter!”  They were wacking each other with the [...]

Is the Bathroom Locked Again?

In the last little bit Peter has grown 1/2 an inch or more. A few weeks ago Peter couldn’t open doors or our gate to go out to the street.
But now I’m constantly finding the bathroom door locked. He thinks it’s fun to open and close the bathroom door and play with the [...]
