Le Monastère

This last week we’ve gone to Le Monastère three different times for dinner.
It’s an upscale restaurant in Escazu. It used to be a monastery. After being abandoned it was turned into a restaurant.
If you ever go there they have an amazing Au Gratin Asparagus!
Here’s a few pictures.

Moving

This weekend I moved our stuff from the Villa’s to our new rental. (For full story of the new rental click here.) Our “moving truck” was the double stoller for most loads. All but one load.
I was going to take a load to the house and Marcela asked to take the boys [...]

Horseback Riding

Today we took the boys to a place near Jaco to go horseback riding. (James thinks that’s a funny thing to call it. “What other part of the horse are you going to ride?” he says.)
There was also a handful a other farm animals that they let the boys pet and feed. [...]

Green Parrot

Today I was out front with Jimmy and Peter. Jimmy was playing with Wilder and his Dad Chris (they’re just across from us).
I was sitting on the grass with Peter and Chris points out a green parrot that was flying over head.
A few minutes later the parrot landed on may head. It was only there [...]

Long-Term Rental

Yesterday we signed papers for a long-term rental here in Costa Rica. It was a different experience then we were anticipating. The rental is only $300 a month so we thought we would pay a few months in advance and shake the guys hand. That wasn’t the case. We were at [...]

Peter is… and Jimmy is…

Peter has started crawling up stairs AAAAHH!  In fact Peter is crawling everywhere.
Ever since Jimmy started eating solid food he’s been picky and a lite eater.  But the last few weeks Jimmy has been eating so good!  It’s been really nice to not have to worry about him getting enough to eat!  He’s  looking like [...]

At Baldi Hot Springs there was the cutest little cat that was hanging out near the dressing rooms.  As you can see Jimmy really loved it!

Peter is Officially Learning to Walk

Officially learning to walk…what is that supposed mean? Well he has the learning-to-walk horns as we call them.

He also has mastered crawling.
Every now and again Jimmy will see Peter crawling and think, “that looks like a ride em’ horsey” and proceed to climb on top of Peter. Amazingly enough Peter doesn’t like that…Jimmy [...]

They're Getting So Big!

Jimmy and Peter are growing up before my eyes!
Jimmy says something about everything.  His vocabulary is growing really fast right now.  He has started to get freckles, it’s so cute.  It makes him look like such a little boy.
I looked at Peter today and he is so tall.  He’s way taller then Jimmy was [...]
