Nicaragua

Last week (7th-10th) we did our 3 days out of the country.  We went to our usual place, Nicaragua.
The boys were so excited to go to the ocean.  It’s been 5 months since they’ve been to the beach.  (We used to live at the beach.  We played in the ocean 4 or 5 times a [...]

Trip to Utah

7/9/09
Last night I couldn’t sleep because I was too anxious about my flight. James stayed up with me watching LOST episodes. I had Cinnabon for breakfast. It was so rich. I’m not used to having really sweet stuff after being in CR. The flight was good. I slept most [...]

Playa Grande

Monday James broke a tooth and had to go to the dentist.  It was a quick fix though.  We spent the rest of the afternoon at the mall.  When we were there we took the kids to the movies.  We saw Aliens vs Monsters.  It was a 3D movie so we had to wear glasses [...]

Costa Rica

On Tuesday we hopped on the bus and went to Costa Rica.  With it being Holy Week most businesses were closed.  So we hung out at the hotel a lot of the time.  Which was fine because we found a really nice place in a quiet neighborhood.  It had two bedrooms and a little kitchen.  [...]

Trip to Costa Rica

This picture is funny…look at what his shirt says. (DANGER-Next Tantrum :05)

Our hotel room has bunk beds.  The boys thought that was so cool!

While we were in Costa Rica we picked up mail from the last three months.  So we got a bunch of Christmas presents.  This was one from Aunt Ruby.  Thanks Aunt Ruby!

All [...]

Both boys fell asleep on the way back to the hotel.

Jimmy and Daddy chillin’ out after a long day in the sun.

We all got sunburned the first day.  Here’s Peter with the [...]

Update/Sámara Beach

Last week we went to Sámara Beach for three days. We took our gringo neighbors with us. It was fun. Dinners were nice because we would leave the kids at the hotel with Hannah and have a nice quiet dinner.
The boys had a lot of fun playing in the sand and in the ocean. Up [...]

Trip to Nicaragua

Most of last week was spent in Nicaragua.  It was very nice.  The boarder crossing was a lot easier then last time (it was a nightmare last time).  The weather was nice, it’s usually really hot there but it was a little overcast the whole time cooling things off.  We didn’t even get pink let [...]

Busy Week

It’s been a busy week.  It’s been so busy I can’t even remember all the things we did this week.  For example Wednesday is gone, I can’t remember for the life of me what we did on Wednesday.
On Monday (June 2nd) we went to the Rawlings Baseball factory and tried to buy some baseballs but [...]

But for those that don’t have headphones or speakers here’s the highlights

Nicaragua

We returned from Nicaragua yesterday. If you don’t have residency in Costa Rica you have to leave for three days every 90 days. So this was our three day trip.
Crossing the boarder to Nicaragua was really crazy!! It’s very disorganized. There’s a bunch of paper work on both sides and they [...]

Guanacaste

We just got back from Guanacaste, we spent Monday and Tuesday there. It’s one of the beach towns. A lot of people compare it to Hawaii.
We went to see the sea turtles lay eggs but I guess we were off by a week. But that’s okay, we had a lot of fun at [...]

For the week of Thanksgiving we decided to go out to California to visit James’ family and my sister.
We arrived in Sacramento on Tuesday. When we got there we just spent the night hanging out with Ruby and her kids.
On Wednesday we took Katie and Alex to pass out new socks to the homeless. [...]

It was a long drive down and pour Steve and Amy took a wrong turn somewhere so it was an even longer drive for them and the people in their car.
The first day was fun.  We played in the water for a while and took turns going out on the boat.  But there wasn’t any [...]

Trip to Sacramento

We had a lot of fun in Sacramento. We visited family and friends (Barbara, Ruby and her kids, Jason Huhtala and his family.) The highlights of the trip were Peter’s first time swimming, Fairy Tale Town, The Zoo, and I got a ‘69 VW Bug. Happy Mother’s Day to me.
Here’s a few [...]
